1. ELIGIBILITY
The Mostyn Law Rental Assistance Giveaway (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the Houston, Texas surrounding area who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Mostyn Law, its affiliates, its advertising/promotion agencies, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Radio station KBXX-FM 97.9 The Box is a promotional partner but is not the prize provider.
2. CONTEST PERIOD
- Nominations Open: April 2, 2026, at 12:01 AM CT.
- Nominations Close: April 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT.
- Winner Announcements: Announcements will occur between April 20, 2026, and May 1, 2026.
3. HOW TO ENTER / NOMINATION PROCESS

- Nomination Types: You may nominate yourself or another individual.
- Multiple Entries: You may nominate more than one person; however, submitting multiple nominations for the same individual will not increase that individual’s chances of being selected.
- Data Usage: By entering, you agree to receive newsletters and marketing communications from Mostyn Law. You may opt-out at any time; opting out will not impact your chances of winning.
4. WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Ten (10) total winners will be selected by Amber Mostyn and a designated Mostyn Law committee (the “Committee”).
- Selection Basis: Winners will be selected based on the Committee’s subjective review of the nomination story and the impact the prize will have on the recipient’s rental assistance needs.
- Announcement Schedule: One (1) winner will be identified and/or announced each weekday on the following dates: April 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30, and May 1.
- Verification Window: Potential winners will be contacted via the phone number provided. You must respond within twelve (12) hours of the first attempt. Failure to respond within this 12-hour window is subject to immediate disqualification and forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.
- Radio Appearance: Some winners may be called live on-air.
- Verification: To claim the prize, winners must provide proof of residency in the Houston surrounding area and a valid government-issued ID.
5. PRIZE DESCRIPTION
Ten (10) individual winners will each receive a one-time payment of $1,000.00 USD in the form of a check issued by Mostyn Law.
- Total Prize Pool: $10,000.00.
- Prizes are non-transferable
- Tax Responsibility: Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes. A Form 1099 may be issued.
6. PUBLICITY RELEASE (NAME, IMAGE, LIKENESS)
Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Contest constitutes the entrant’s and winner’s (or their guardian’s) consent to Mostyn Law’s use of their name, image, likeness, voice, and nomination story for promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes in any media (including radio broadcast on 97.9 The Box, social media, and digital advertising) without further payment or consideration.
7. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Mostyn Law, Amber Mostyn, and all participating radio broadcast partners (including 97.9 The Box) from any and all liability, loss, or damage arising from or in connection with the Contest or the awarding, receipt, and/or use of any prize.
