Background on Secretary Clinton:

Hillary Clinton has served as secretary of state, U.S. senator from New York, first lady of the United States, first lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and law professor, and an activist. But the first thing her friends and family will tell you is that she’s never forgotten where she came from or who she’s been fighting for throughout her life.

Background on Amber Anderson Mostyn:

Amber Mostyn is an attorney who practices first party insurance and personal injury law in Houston, Texas. She and her team tried and won the first Hurricane Ike trial in Harris County (Houston) in 2011. Amber regularly serves as liaison counsel to the court in multidistrict litigation against multinational corporations.

Amber and her husband, Steve, founded the Glenda Jean Mostyn and Joe E. Moreno Educational Foundation and are supporters of numerous charitable causes in Austin, Beaumont, Galveston, Houston, East Texas, and nationally including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society MS 150, Special Olympics Texas, and The River.

The Mostyns dedicate vast resources and time to political candidates and progressive causes to make sure that every Texan has a voice in Austin and Washington, DC. Amber has held leadership positions in numerous organizations, most recently as the Chair of Annie’s List. Amber is a Democracy Alliance partner and a founding member of both the Democracy Alliance Texas Fund, Battleground Texas and “Ready for Hillary.” In the 2016 election cycle, Amber was a member of both the Hillary for America and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund Leadership Councils.

Background on Annie’s List

Since its founding in 2003, Annie’s List has directly contributed $4.5 million, trained thousands of women to run for office and women endorsed by Annie’s List have won over 100 races up and down the ballot, across the state.

In 2015, the Annie’s List team completed a new strategic plan to guide the organization through 2020. A strategic and enhanced focus on local races is one primary outcome of the planning. In the 2015-2016 election cycle women endorsed by Annie’s List won 20 seats in the State Legislature (7 new women in the Texas House), and 9 Texas candidates for local office in some of the biggest regions of the country.

Post-election, Annie’s List has seen unprecedented numbers of supporters signing up online, trainings for women to learn to run for office have been sold out, and a surge in activism through existing and pop-up communities working for progressive change, and specifically for equal representation in the halls of power.

Annie’s List holds the following principles, where by electing progressive, pro-choice women, Annie’s List promotes an agenda which:
