Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

May 1st is the first day of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage (AAPI) Month. This month recognizes the contributions and influences Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have made in the history, culture and shaping of the United States. AAPI Heritage Month began as a ten-day celebration until 1990 when President George H.W. Bush signed a law expanding the celebration to the entire month of May. The observance commemorates two events: The arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to the United States on May 7, 1843 and the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, largely built by Chinese immigrants, on May 10, 1869. This month, Mostyn Law will strive to educate ourselves, our families and friends and learn more about the important contributions made to our nation by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. How will you and your family celebrate this month?#mostynlaw #asianpacificheritagemonth
